For the week ending November 1, Baker Hughes reported that the Western Canadian gas-directed rig count rose one to 67 (blue line in left hand chart below), seven less than one year ago and holding very much in the same range where it has been since the start of July.

Using data compiled in RBN’s Canadian NatGas Billboard report, Western Canadian natural gas production posted a new record high of 19.58 Bcf on October 30 (red dashed oval in top chart below).

As reported by the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), Alberta’s oil production was 3.8 MMb/d in September 2024 (rightmost stacked bars in chart below), slightly behind the production level of one year ago, and 224 Mb/d lower than August.

Despite recording two withdrawals in a row, total U.S. propane/propylene inventory levels are above the five-year maximum amid steady production.

Enterprise Products Partners has brought online a fourth truck terminal for its Texas Western Products (TW Products) pipeline system, marking the completion of Phase 2 of this project. The facility will serve eastern Utah and western Colorado.
