Abudi specializes in energy market pricing, information product development and fundamental analysis. Prior to founding ClipperData, an energy information firm focused on waterborne hydrocarbon movements, he lead efforts at Genscape to create new information products based on the company's proprietary energy data. Abudi has worked in the energy information industry in Tokyo, Singapore, London, Houston and New York. During his career, he held management positions in editorial, product development, marketing, sales and general management. He was CEO for Argus Media, Inc, a Senior Vice President at Oxford Analytica and Sales Director at Platts London. Adam Karpf |
Adam Karpf is a portfolio manager for CIBC Private Wealth Management's Energy Infrastructure strategy. Adam has been analyzing the Energy Infrastructure industry since 2001, when he became a senior analyst in the equity research team at Lehman Brothers. In 2006 he was ranked No. 1 in the Oil Equipment, Services and Distribution industry in The Wall Street Journal's "Best on the Street" Survey. In 2005 and 2006, he was a ranked analyst in the Institutional Investor Research All-American Poll. Bill Jackson |
Bill Jackson has over 30 years of experience in project management, refinery/plant
engineering, maintenance, planning, and contract management. Prior to joining
Baker & O'Brien, he held a number of engineering and project management
positions with a variety of companies. He has provided expert opinions in written
reports, depositions, and in testimony.
Bill's experience spans the entire range of refinery capital expenditures, including
strategic planning, front-end engineering and design, detailed engineering,
procurement, fabrication, and construction. He participated and directed these
efforts from both the owner's and contractor's aspect and been responsible for the
overall project management of engineering through construction and start-up of
complete refinery units.
With respect to refinery equipment and facilities, Bill has knowledge of their
engineering design, procurement, fabrication, construction, operation, and
maintenance. His broad background in project and maintenance issues has been
used in conducting refinery incident investigations, participation in PHA/HAZOP
studies, and troubleshooting. In both design and operational issues, Bill has
extensive experience in the application of engineering codes, industry standards,
and individual company standards.
Bill is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas and Louisiana. He is also a
Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator for the National Association of Fire
Investigators, International (NAFI). |

Bob Tippee is an energy writer and oil and gas industry analyst who has won many awards for his commentary, articles, and speeches. He was a member of the Oil & Gas Journal editorial staff for 42 years and the magazine’s editor-in-chief for 20 years. During his career with OGJ, Tippee wrote every weekly editorial beginning in 1981 and a weekly column, The Editor’s Perspective, starting in 1996.
