US oil and gas rig count saw a third consecutive decline this week, declining to 654 rigs for the week ending August 11 according to Baker Hughes. The Anadarko (+1) was the only basin to add rigs, while the Permian (-2), Appalachia (-2), Gulf of Mexico (-1) and All Other (-1) all lost rigs.
