DOE Seeks 3.5 MMBbl of Crude for SPR Refill, Starts Restocking Bryan Mound

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is looking to begin refilling its Bryan Mound oil reserve in Texas after the completion of upgrades and repairs. The agency has launched two tenders seeking a total of 3.5 MMBbl of crude oil, some for Bryan Mound, for supply in January 2025. 

Permian-to-Gulf Coast Oil Flows Rebound in February to Second-Highest Month

Crude oil flows from the Permian Basin to the U.S. Gulf Coast (USGC) rebounded in February, reaching 5.64 MMb/d, following a cold snap in January. This marks the second highest monthly flows to the USGC, less than 1 Mb/d shy of December 2023.
