Carlyle-Backed Crescent Midstream to Build CCS Project in Louisiana, Ready in 2028

Crescent Midstream plans to develop and build an integrated carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) project to handle carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted from Entergy’s natural gas-fired 994-megawatt Lake Charles Power Station in Westlake, Louisiana (see map below). 

LNG Canada Increasing Gas Intake as Testing Proceeds

On September 20, LNG Canada reported that it will be increasing flaring at its Kitimat, BC, site as part of the process of testing natural gas intake to the plant’s gas turbines. The turbines use natural gas as a fuel to run compression and liquefaction equipment that is used to produce LNG.
