US LNG Feedgas Demand Up with Room for Growth

Overall feedgas last week averaged 12.34 Bcf/d, up 570 MMcf/d week-on-week, driven by higher flows to Sabine Pass, which appears to be back from maintenance, although Cheniere has not confirmed it. Flows to the terminal are consistent with about 95% of full utilization.

Crude oil exports slipped by 271 Mb/d in May to 3.7 MMb/d, according to recently released data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Shipments to Asia Pacific fell by 681 Mb/d, pushing it back to the No. 2 spot, while cargoes to Europe jumped by 352 Mb/d making it the top buyer at 1.8 MMb/d.

US oil and gas rig count climbed to 680 (+6) for the week ending July 7 according to Baker Hughes, the first weekly gain for rigs since April 28. Rigs were added in the Haynesville (+2), Permian (+1), Gulf of Mexico (+1) and All Other (+3), while the Eagle Ford (-1) lost one rig.
