Ever wonder why it seems like there are more NGL infrastructure projects being announced than for crude and natural gas?  There is a good reason.  Over the past ten years, NGL production has grown considerably more than both crude and gas, and it’s not slowing down. 

US oil and gas rig count fell to 616 for the week ending November 10 according to Baker Hughes, down two vs. a week ago. The Anadarko (+1) was the only basin to add rigs vs. last week, while the Haynesville (-1) and Gulf of Mexico (-2) both lost rigs.

A strong demand for U.S. crude oil has been evident over the last few months as export volumes have remained robust. Data from RBN’s weekly Crude Voyager report shows that crude oil exports from the U.S.

The Mont Belvieu iso-normal price spread reached a year-to-date high of 34 cents/gal on November 3, the widest differential since hitting 47 cents/gal on August 23, 2022.  As the left-hand chart below illustrates, the spread between iso and normal can swing widely depending upon the relative supp
