The RBN Information Pipeline

This is the RBN Information Pipeline, a widget on our homepage that contains the titles of the top 10 Daily Energy Posts (a.k.a., blogs) over the previous couple of months, floating around like gas molecules (Just hover your cursor over the graphic).   The bigger the title, the more popular the Post.  Click on the title and the link will take you to the article.  Granted it is a little hokey, but the interactive graphic will give you something to play around with on those slow days in the market.

If you are new to the RBN Energy website, here’s the background:  Our Daily Energy Posts are blog articles that we post and distribute each business day for RBN members.  The postings cover a wide range of energy market issues.  We tend to focus on natural gas, crude oil and natural gas liquids markets in North America, but occasionally extend our reach into petroleum products, renewable fuels, coal and other forms of energy in North America and around the world.

Our website captures how many ‘hits’ each posting receives. That means we can track which postings are of most interest to RBN members.   The Information Pipeline is a way for us to share this information with you.  The widget is an active ‘word cloud’ that sizes the title of each post based on the number of hits that post has received.  In other words, the greater the number of hits, the bigger the title inside the Pipeline.  When you see a topic float by with a big font title, that’s something that has interested a lot of our members. And if you see something that you think might be interesting, just click on that topic and we’ll take you straight to that Energy Post.
