ExxonMobil is working to restore full operations at its Hoover crude oil and gas platform in the Gulf of Mexico, more than a week after the severe storm swept through the region.The company said on July 5 that it had shut the platform in advance to the storm, after evacuating staff. After the storm passed on July 8, the major said it had begun work to resart the offshore platform.  Oil from the platform and other nearby fields is transported onshore by the Hoover Oil Pipeline system, known also as HOOPS, and its barrels are marked as HOOPS Blend. ExxonMobil is the operator of HOOPS.
