Enterprise Products Partners has brought online a fourth truck terminal for its Texas Western Products (TW Products) pipeline system, marking the completion of Phase 2 of this project. The facility will serve eastern Utah and western Colorado.
Located in Grand County, Utah, the new facility has a storage capacity of 400 Mbbl for gasoline and diesel, with a truck loading rate of up to 20 Mb/d. Three other terminals in the TW Products network began operations earlier this year and are located in Gaines County, Texas, and Jal and Albuquerque in New Mexico. Combined, the four terminals offer 1.5 MMbbl of refined products storage capacity, with a loading rate of up to 63 Mb/d.
For the TW Products system, Enterprise had repurposed a portion of its existing pipeline assets to connect traditionally underserved gasoline and diesel markets in the southwest to Texas, the largest refined products complex in the country.
The diverse supply routes would mean lower motor fuel costs for consumers, the company said, noting that TW Products system will gain importance given the recently announced and potential future refinery closures in California.
