Despite the near-flat headline, gas-directed rigs climbed to 129 (+4) while oil-directed rigs declined to 407 (-3) and miscellaneous rigs were unchanged at 8. Total U.S. rig count is unchanged over the last 90 days but remains 43 rigs below this week in 2025.
