U.S. oil and gas rig count fell by three rigs to 545 for the week ending April 10 according to Baker Hughes data, as declines in All Other (-3), the Eagle Ford (-2), Anadarko (-1) and the Bakken (-1) outpaced gains in Gulf of Mexico (+3) and Niobrara (+1). Within All Other, Uinta (-1), Arkoma Woodford (-1), San Juan-NM (-1) and Cleveland/Tonkawa (-1) all posted week-on-week declines, with Granite Wash (+1) the lone gainer. Oil-directed rigs were unchanged at 411 while gas-directed rigs fell to 127 (-3) and miscellaneous rigs were also unchanged at 7. Total U.S. rig count is up one over the last 90 days but remains 38 rigs below this week in 2025.
