U.S. oil and gas rig count gained three rigs to 591 for the week ending September 11 according to Baker Hughes data, as gains in the Bakken (+5), the Eagle Ford (+1) and the Niobrara (+1) more than offset a one-rig decline in Gulf of Mexico and a three-rig decline in All Other.
