U.S. LNG feedgas demand dipped last week with operational disruptions at Freeport and Corpus Christi, but intake has already bounced back. U.S. LNG feedgas demand averaged about 18.4 Bcf/d last week, down 0.4 Bcf/d from the previous week.

Freeport tripped offline on January 13 because of an issue with its power feed, as shown by the sharp drop in feedgas deliveries on the right-hand side of the chart below. It operated at reduced feedgas levels for much of the following week before returning to near-full rates by Sunday, as shown by the rebound on the farthest right side of the graphic below.

Corpus Christi also experienced feedgas disruptions on Jan. 14-15 related to pipeline maintenance at the Stinton compressor station on the Corpus Christi Pipeline. Flows to the terminal were significantly reduced for two days but have since rebounded and the terminal has returned to full operations.
