Based on media reports and updates posted at the LNG Canada website, first production of LNG at the liquefaction site in Kitimat, BC (image below) is expected to begin late this week or on the weekend. LNG Canada’s Train 1 has been in a commissioning process since May with earlier postings suggesting that start up of Train 1 for LNG production would occur between May 15 and July 31, with the latest media reports clearly fitting within this window.
