What is to be LNG Canada’s first and only imported cool down cargo of LNG is expected to arrive at the liquefaction site in Kitimat, BC on or about March 31. Based on a Bloomberg report from a private tanker tracking agency, the Greek-flagged Maran Gas Roxana (image below) loaded a cargo of LNG at the Shell and EIG Global Energy Partners-operated Queensland Curtis LNG plant in Australia on March 11 and departed the site on March 12. Online ship tracking sites report the ship’s position as of midday March 19 to the northeast of the Marshall Islands and roughly at the halfway point of its journey across the Pacific Ocean.
