Haynesville production rebounded last week as pipeline maintenance eased, pushing output above 16 Bcf/d. Production in March is its strongest monthly performance in nearly two years.

With maintenance continuing but shifting across different parts of the system, intermittent flow disruptions are expected through the spring, though the underlying supply remains robust.

Gulf Run Pipeline is still conducting its annual spring maintenance, but work on the westernmost portion of the pipeline, which was impacting Haynesville production in Texas, is complete. Maintenance on the pipeline’s compressor stations may impact flows between now and the end of April.

The basin remains on track for continued production growth, and we anticipate new record highs in the months ahead. Production in March averaged 16.1 Bcf/d, up about 0.2 Bcf/d month-on-month, the first time since May 2023 that monthly production in the basin has averaged above 16 Bcf/d.

Strong production growth in the basin will support growing LNG feedgas demand in the Gulf. For the latest happenings in the Haynesville, check out our NATGAS Haynesville Weekly report
