Haynesville natural gas production slipped by about 0.24 Bcf/d week-on-week as maintenance on regional pipelines curtailed flows. Volumes were weakest early in the week, then partially rebounded over the weekend as constraints eased. The decline was driven mainly by lower receipts on Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America (NGPL) and Gulf Run.

As we discuss in our NATGAS Haynesville Report, Gulf Run has been performing maintenance on various compressor stations this month. That work is complete, but the pipeline is slated for additional maintenance in early May.

NGPL is conducting maintenance in Texas that is affecting production and flows from both the Haynesville and Permian basins. The pipe has maintenance scheduled through May, though the specific locations and the degree of flow restrictions will vary over time. Maintenance‑related disruptions are very common in April and May and will continue to create flow and production noise over the next several weeks.

Overall, production remains very strong, averaging around 16.3 Bcf/d so far this month, see dark green line below. Production is expected to continue growing at a steady pace this year, potentially pushing the basin toward record-high production levels in the next few months.
