Haynesville natural gas production fell sharply last week, reversing some momentum from the first half of September. Declines were spread across all areas in the basin and multiple pipelines.
Haynesville natural gas production averaged 17.1 Bcf/d for the week ending September 21, down nearly 0.5 Bcf/d week-on-week (dark green line below), according to our NATGAS Haynesville Weekly Report. LNG feedgas demand also moved lower as several short-lived disruptions affected Gulf Coast terminals, though those issues have since cleared.
It was a step back for the region, where gas production had been trending higher this month. Even with the decline, production remains strong, in line with August levels and up sharply year on year.
