A federal appeals court this week ruled that a dispute with Michigan's attorney general regarding its Line 5 crude and NGL pipeline be handled in state court.
The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday (6/17) said Enbridge’s 2021 request to move Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel’s lawsuit to federal court came too late after the case was initially filed in state court in 2019. Such requests are typically made within a month of a case being filed.
