Oil-directed rigs grew to 411 (+4) while gas-directed rigs retreated to 132 (-2), pulling back from last week's nearly three-year high of 134, and miscellaneous rigs fell to 8 (-1). Total U.S. rig count is up seven over the last 90 days but remains 41 rigs below the same week in 2025.
