Despite the overall decline, gas-directed rigs climbed to 127 (+1) while oil-directed rigs declined to 450 (-2) and miscellaneous rigs were unchanged at 10. Total U.S. rig count is up 43 over the last 90 days and now stands 45 rigs above this week in 2025.
