The EIA reported that total U.S. propane/propylene inventories had a build of 4 MMbbl for the week ended June 6, the second largest week on week increase in at least the past 10 years. This build was more than industry expectations for an increase of 2.7 MMbbl and above the average build for the week of 2.5 MMbbl. Total U.S. propane stocks are now at 66 MMbbl, which is 3.8 MMbbl, or 6%, less than the same week in 2024 and 9.5 MMbbl, or 13%, less than the 5-year maximum. Inventories are 2.6 MMbbl, or 4%, above the 5-year average.
