The EIA reported total U.S. propane/propylene inventories had a build of 1.2 MMbbl for the week ended July 25, which was less than industry expectations for an increase of 2.6 MMbbl and the average build for the week of 2 MMbbl. This was the lowest build for this week in the past 10 years. Total U.S. propane stocks are now at 83.5 MMbbl, which is 3.9 MMbbl, or 5% less, than the same week in 2024 and 5.1 MMbbl, or 6%, less than the 5-year maximum. Inventories are 5.8 MMbbl, or 7%, above the 5-year average.
