The EIA reported that total U.S. propane/propylene inventories had a build of 970 Mbbl for the week ended May 2. That was less than industry expectations for an increase of 1.8 MMbbl and the average build for the week of 1.8 MMbbl. Total U.S. propane stocks are now at 48.2 MMbbl, 10.9 MMbbl, or 19%, less than the same week in 2024 but 6.7 MMbbl, or 16%, more than the 5-year minimum. Inventories are 4.9 MMbbl, or 9%, below the 5-year average.
