The EIA reported total U.S. propane/propylene inventories had a withdrawal of 4.5 MMbbl for the week ended December 20, the largest for the reporting week in the last 10 years. The draw was above industry expectations for a decrease of 2.64 MMbbl and above the average draw for the week of 2.4 MMbbl. Total U.S. propane stocks are now at 85.6 MMbbl, which is 911 Mbbl, or 1.1%, above the same week in 2023 and the 5-year maximum. Inventories are 4.9 MMbbl, or 6.1%, above the 5-year average.
