According to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), LPG exports fell for the second month in a row after hitting a record high in November 2024. January 2025 exports were reported at 2.3 MMb/d versus 2.5 MMb/d at their peak. Propane exports declined by about 9.2% over the two-month period from November 2024 through January 2025 while normal butane exports went down by only 8.7%. Isobutane exports, which are very small in comparison, increased to 7 Mb/d from 3 Mb/d in December 2024. The orange line in the chart below shows the average level of exports from January 2024 through January 2025. Exports from March 2024 through July 2024 were below the average with exports for most of the August 2024 to January 2025 period above the average.
