Overall LNG feedgas demand jumped up again last week as Cove Point restarted. The terminal had been offline for annual maintenance since September 20 and resumed full operations on October 12. Feedgas has been consistent with full utilization at the terminal since its restart. Additionally, every U.S. terminal except for Freeport is now operating at or slightly above the long-term contracted utilization rate, further boosting feedgas demand. Feedgas deliveries to Freeport continue to be somewhat volatile. According to filings with Texas state regulators, Freeport Train 1 tripped on October 8 and was restarted the next day, which caused feedgas to drop during that time. This is the first incident filed since early September. However, Freeport has been experiencing intermittent drops in feedgas flows for some time.
