Natural gas production in Western Canada set a new single day record of 20.2 Bcf on November 2 (blue text and arrow in chart below). The latest peak comes after a rapid build up underway since early October and capitalizes on a time of year when records have typically been achieved. Based on data from RBN’s Canadian NatGas Billboard, the latest record is part of a four day streak since the start of November of output levels at or above 20.0 Bcf. The latest run casts aside the single day prior record at 20.0 Bcf reached on April 13 (black text and arrow), after which production levels slowly decreased over the course of the spring and summer.
