Western Canada’s daily natural gas production established a record on January 25, 2026 at 20.58 Bcf (blue arrow and text in chart below), inching ahead of the prior record holder of 20.54 Bcf set on December 4, 2025 (green arrow and text) according to data published in RBN’s Canadian NatGas Billboard. This latest high comes after a very strong recovery in supplies since the end of September 2025 and at a time of the year (the winter drilling season – November to March) when production strength is most pronounced in Western Canada.
