US oil and gas rig count posted a small decline for the week ending August 8, falling by one rig vs. a week ago to 539 according to Baker Hughes. Rigs were added in the Anadarko (+2) and All Other (+1), while the Permian (-3) and Eagle Ford (-1) both lost rigs. Total US rig count is down 38 in the last 90 days, and down 49 from this week a year ago. Oil-directed rigs this week stand at 403 (+1), with gas-directed rigs at 123 (-1) and miscellaneous rigs at 5 (-1).
