Annual average Ohio natural gas production (blue line in graph) dropped from 7.1 Bcf/d in 2017 to 5.7 Bcf/d in 2024 - a decline of 1.4 Bcf/d. Over the same period, power generation demand in the state (yellow stacked area) rose by 0.6 Bcf/d. Those two factors combined to reduce net outflows from the state (red line) from 3.5 Bcf/d to 1.6 Bcf/d.
