As noted in this week's RBN Crude Voyager Weekly, crude loadings from Houston-area terminals fell by nearly 40% to 607 MMb/d, while overall loadings stayed flat at 3.9 MMb/d.  The top-line number masked rearrangements in terminals loading, and average loading size, as the number of vessels fell 6% to 31.  Louisiana and Beaumont-area terminals picked up the slack left by Corpus Christi and Houston rising to 690 and 371 Mb/d, respectively, while several terminals that customarily load vessels were empty this week, leaving others to carry the load.

Despite the reduced number of vessels, the increase in VLCCs loading from five to nine was primarily responsible for keeping overall volumes flat.
