Rigs were added in the Haynesville (+2), Appalachia (+1), Niobrara (+1) and Gulf of Mexico (+1), while the Permian (-3), Anadarko (-1) and Bakken (-1) lost rigs vs. a week ago. Total U.S. rig count is up three in the last 90 days, but remains down 35 from this week a year ago. Gas-directed rigs climbed to 133 (+3) this week, with crude-directed rigs falling to 409 (-3) and miscellaneous rigs flat at 9. This marks the largest gas-directed rig count since July 2023.

Total rig count is down five in the last 90 days, and down 45 from this week a year ago. Oil-directed rigs stand at 409 (-3) this week, with gas-directed rigs at 124 (-1) and miscellaneous rigs at 11 (+2).
