Based on estimates from RBN’s Canadian NatGas Billboard, Alberta, the province with the largest installed gas-fired power generation capacity in Canada, set a new single day record for gas consumption by its power sector (“gas burn”) of 2.53 Bcf (2,532 MMcf/d) on July 16 (red dashed circle in chart below).
