The Canadian oil and gas industry has come into laser focus in the past few months as trade frictions have highlighted the deep interdependencies that Canada’s energy sector has with the United States and the rest of the world. Canada is already a large exporter of crude oil to the U.S., with a growing foothold into Asian markets in the past year. Canadian natural gas players are also looking to diversify away from the U.S., with LNG exports just months away. NGLs exports have been expanding their grip on Asian markets for years and will be expanding further.

Up until now, there has been a lot of talk but not much analysis. To get a better sense of how the market will evolve, as well as the role that Canada’s oil and gas sector plays in the North American and international context, RBN’s Martin King will host a webcast devoted to the topic called Livin’ on the Edge.

How has Canada’s production of oil, gas and NGLs grown in recent years? What are the current market drivers that will influence their production? And why are more export options even being considered? Join us for an exploration of these questions and as a warmup for the even deeper dive that we’ll take at our School of Energy – Canada coming to Calgary in late August.

After a two-decade bumpy ride, Canada’s natural gas production has been pushing to record highs.
