In another uneventful week for US oil and gas rig count, total rigs climbed to 593 for the week ending March 21 according to Baker Hughes data. Rigs were added in the Anadarko (+2) and All Other (+1), while the Permian (-1) and Bakken (-1) both posted weekly declines. Total US rig count is up four in the last 90 days, and down 31 rigs from this week a year ago. Oil-directed rigs declined by one this week to 486, while gas-directed rigs added two and stand at 102, and miscellaneous rigs were flat at five.
