Oil-directed rigs edged up to 431 (+2) while gas-directed rigs slipped to 124 (-1) and miscellaneous rigs were unchanged at 8. Total U.S. rig count is up 12 over the last 90 days and now stands 4 rigs above this week in 2025, crossing into positive year-over-year territory for the first time since May 2023.
