US oil and gas rig count declined by 6 for the week ending July 21, dropping down to 669 according to Baker Hughes.  Rigs were added in the Anadarko (+1) and All Other (+1), while the Permian (-4), Eagle Ford (-2), Haynesville (-1) and Niobrara (-1) all lost rigs.  Total US rig count is down 84 in the last 90 days, and down 89 vs. this week a year ago. Oil directed rigs fell by seven, while gas directed rigs declined by two and miscellaneous rigs increased by three.
