The EIA reported total U.S. propane/propylene inventories had a build of 1.26 MMbbl for the week ended August 1, which was less than industry expectations for an increase of 2.3 MMbbl but above the average build for the week of 1.2 MMbbl. Total U.S. propane stocks are now at 84.7 MMbbl, which is 3.2 MMbbl, or 4% less, than the same week in 2024 and 5.2 MMbbl, or 6%, less than the 5-year maximum. Inventories are 5.5 MMbbl, or 7%, above the 5-year average.
