The EIA reported total U.S. propane/propylene inventories had a build of 2.3 MMbbl for the week ended April 18, surpassing industry expectations of a 1.3 MMbbl increase and the average build for the week of 1.2 MMbbl. Total U.S. propane stocks are now at 46.6 MMbbl, 10 MMbbl, or 18%, less than the same week in 2024 but 7.4 MMbbl, or 19%, more than the 5-year minimum. Despite the recent build, inventories remain 3.9 MMbbl, or 8%, below the 5-year average.
