The EIA reported total U.S. propane/propylene inventories had a build of 1.5 MMbbl for the week ended April 4, which was more than industry expectations for an increase of 611 Mbbl and the average build for the week of 472 Mbbl. Total U.S. propane stocks are now at 45.7 MMbbl, which is 6.1 MMbbl, or 12%, less than the same week in 2024 and 13 MMbbl, or 23%, less than the 5-year maximum. Inventories are 2.7 MMbbl, or 6%, below the 5-year average. Weekly exports of propane reported by the EIA were stronger than the prior reporting week at 1.7 MMb/d, up 153 Mb/d, but below the year-to-date average of 1.8 MMb/d.
