U.S. LNG feedgas demand held at record levels last week as terminals ramped up winter peak operations and Golden Pass continues increasing intake.
Feedgas demand averaged 20 Bcf/d for the week ending October 25, up about 0.4 Bcf/d from the previous week.
After first reaching 20 Bcf/d on October 16, U.S. LNG feedgas demand has been above 20 Bcf/d eight out of the last ten days. It has been an incredibly strong start to the peak demand season, and we are not even yet in November.
Feedgas will likely rise further this winter as peak production increases and Golden Pass continues to ramp online. Intake at Golden Pass hit another record high this past week (see lime-green section in chart below) and averaged 0.7 Bcf/d for the week.
All U.S. terminals are operating at full or peak operations, with feedgas intake at Sabine Pass, Calcasieu Pass, Plaquemines and Cove Point especially strong. Check out our LNG Voyager Weekly Report for more insight.
