U.S. LNG feedgas demand moved higher last week as Freeport and Cove Point returned from maintenance and Golden Pass intake hit a record over the weekend.

U.S. LNG feedgas averaged about 18.2 Bcf/d for the week ending October 11 (blue dotted line below), up 0.4 Bcf/d week-on-week.

Freeport LNG Train 2 was down for maintenance from October 2-8, but the train has since restarted and feedgas has rebounded. Cove Point has been down for annual maintenance since Sept. 19 and returned to full operations on Monday, October 12.

Intake at the commissioning Golden Pass terminal began the week below 300 MMcf/d but reached a record level over the weekend, with feedgas deliveries over 600 MMcf/d from Friday through Sunday. We expect U.S. feedgas to reach record levels this winter. Stay tuned to the  LNG Voyager Weekly Report
