LNG Voyager Weekly - Oct 13, 2026

Highlights
  • Feedgas Demand Strengthening
  • Cove Point Restarts
  • Golden Pass Intake at Record Level
Analysis & Insights

U.S. LNG feedgas demand moved higher last week as Freeport returned from maintenance and intake strengthened across several terminals. Golden Pass feedgas intake reached a record over the weekend; however, there have been no updates to Train 1’s delayed startup timeline. Cove Point restarted yesterday after annual maintenance. Meanwhile, European gas prices climbed as colder weather threatens to accelerate the start of heating season, with storage inventories still exceptionally low. U.S. LNG exports are increasingly shifting toward Europe, but the additional supply may come too late to help the region meet its storage targets ahead of winter.
