Crude oil loadings across the U.S. Gulf Coast increased to 4.1 MMb/d last week from 3 MMb/d a week earlier, the lowest level so far in 2024. The four-week moving average (blue line in chart below) remained flat at 3.6 MMb/d. While we experienced a jump last week, the first three weeks in April averaged just 3.5 MMb/d compared to 4.2 MMb/d in March and 4.4 MMb/d in February. Exports were down last week in Houston but up at Beaumont, Louisiana and — most notably — Corpus Christi.
