Crude oil loadings across the U.S. Gulf Coast dipped to 3.6 MMb/d last week, down from 3.7 MMb/d the previous week, shifting the 4-week moving average (represented by the blue line in chart below) to 3.7 MMb/d, providing a smoothed-out trend of recent exports. This decrease marks the lowest exported volume in six weeks, reflecting a temporary slowdown in exports from record highs earlier this year, as we’ve previously discussed in our blog earlier this May.

Houston and Corpus Christi saw declines in exports, with Houston seeing a decrease of 15% and Corpus Christi a decrease of 4% compared to the previous week, while Beaumont remained flat, and Louisiana experienced a slight increase compared to the previous week.
