Tallgrass, operator of the Pony Express Pipeline (blue line in map below), has launched a 30-day binding joint tariff open season in partnership with Bridger for incentive crude oil transportation rates from Bridger’s Guernsey, WY, hub. The open season began on February 14 and will utilize existing Pony Express capacity from Guernsey (yellow dot) to Cushing, OK (red square).
The ~430 Mb/d Pony Express receives volumes from the Powder River Basin and Bakken at the pipeline's origin in Guernsey, WY. Including barrels delivered via Kinder Morgan’s Double H pipeline (88 Mb/d; dark-red line) and Bridger's Belle Fourche Pipeline (green line). The Double H pipeline is slated for conversion to NGL service by Q1 2026. Additionally, Pony Express offers transportation via its 90 Mb/d Northeast Colorado Lateral (NECL; light-blue line), serving the core of the Denver Julesburg (DJ) Basin.
Pony Express's primary delivery point is Deeprock's 4 MMbl tank farm in Cushing, OK, the Pipeline Crossroads of the World; along with connections upstream of Cushing to: CHS's McPherson, KS refinery, HF Sinclair's El Dorado, KS refinery and the Phillips 66 210 Mb/d refinery in Ponca City, OK.
