SandRidge Energy has closed on its $144 million acquisition of producing assets and leasehold interests in the Cherokee play of the western Anadarko Basin in Oklahoma.
The assets acquired from Upland Exploration (see red dashed circle in map below) will bring net production of ~6 Mboed (~40% oil) largely in Ellis and Roger Mills counties in far western Oklahoma. That acreage includes 42 producing wells, four drilled uncompleted (DUC) wells and two recently completed wells expected to begin producing this year.
