Total U.S. propane/propylene stocks reached above 100 MMbbl amid steady production and exports, which may be an effect of export capacity being close to maxing out.

Propane inventory rises were well above average for the week, increasing by 3.37 MMbbl (red bar, first graph) for the week ended October 11, according to the latest data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). The average build for this week is just 526 Mbbl (green bar, first graph). The increase also surpassed survey expectations for a build of 1.9 MMbbl. Total inventories are now at 103 MMbbl (red line in second graph), a figure 12 MMbbl or 13% above the five-year average (green line in second graph).
